This year’s topic is Understanding the Mass. “No matter how mundane the Mass might seem at any given moment, it is more powerful than we can fully comprehend in this life. None of the saints overlooked the Mass; it was the most important part of their lives. How can we foster such devotion inourselves? How can we change our perspective on the Mass so that we don’t treat it as mundane, but as extraordinary? There’s one answer: we need to understand it better. That is why St John Vianney told us, “If we really understood the Mass, we would die of joy.”
