Every weekend, between 800 to 1,000 students in Gaston County Schools go home to households with very little food or no food at all. Through our partnership with the BackPack Weekend Food Program, Inc. (BWFP), we provide healthy, non-perishable meals for students to take home during the school year. This ensures they can return to school the following week better nourished and ready to learn.
