Getting baptized is a symbolic representation of dying to your old life and being raised to a new life in Christ. If you've made Jesus the Lord (master/controller) of your life, this is your next step. But remember, the journey doesn't end after baptism. Baptism is simply the public declaration of your decision to follow Jesus for the rest of your life.
