Haiti Sister Parish Support

St. Joseph, Jasper Parish has an adopted Parish in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. Through monthly collections at Masses, we support St. Joseph, LaCroix in many ways. The monthly collections are used for the necessities, such as food, shelter and medical expenses. Special fundraising events occur as needed. These special events are a key component of the program. Special needs funds have been used for: the purchase of a vehicle for the sisters and priest, money for teacher education to meet new government requirements, reconstruction and repair of roads, the Church, the schools, meals for the students, security wall for the clinic, church and convent as well as a solar panel system for a first aid tent.
