Support for Cherokee Home for Children

Cherokee Home for Children is a basic care residential children's home located near the community of Cherokee, on the upper edge of the Texas hill country. Licensed by the state of Texas for residential care of youth from 2 through 17 years of age, the home also offers foster care. Services to children and families are provided at no costs for private placements. Through the years, the congregation has traveled to Cherokee to sponsor an outdoor fish fry with all the trimmings. It was originally suggested that this would give the house parents a break from preparing a meal for their cottages, and also give an opportunity for our church to fellowship with the employees and children at Cherokee.
