This group assists the pastor by visiting those who are not able to attend Mass and bringing Holy Communion to the homebound and those in nursing homes and hospitals. An extraordinary minister to the sick and homebound must be a practicing Catholic in good standing, with a sympathetic heart for the sick and a strong feeling for giving comfort and love to them.
