Volunteers can enrich lives by walking with residents, transporting them to activities, reading to them, assisting with arts & crafts, participating in group activities, singing, dancing, playing instruments, playing cards or board games, or sharing a hobby. A current need is assisting in mealtimes in the advanced care/dementia unit for approximately one hour at 7:30 A.M., 11:30 A.M. and/or 4:30 P.M. Volunteers must complete an application and pass a background check.
What's needed
- Assisting in mealtimes in the advanced care/dementia unit
- Walking with a resident or transporting them to/from activities
- Reading to a resident
- Assisting with arts & crafts
- Participating in group or individual activities
- Singing, dancing, or playing an instrument
- Playing card or board games
- Sharing a hobby or special interest
